Balanced Kathryn.Kathryn grew up moving home frequently – a factor which has played a major part in her continued love of travelling and meeting new people. She has been lucky enough to live in and travel around the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong/Asia, South Africa and Europe. Kathryn now lives a rural life north of Canterbury with her kiwi husband and their ‘furry children’; Kali the cat, Shiva the black lab/collie cross and most recently Mouse, the adorable thoroughbred horse. They enjoy regularly indulging their love of the NZ outdoors with friends, sharing good food and enjoying great local wines! The idea for the careerbalance range of programmes has been developing for several years. Bringing them together combines Kathryn’s academic study, business experience, networks and personal passions to enable others to take responsibility for what their future holds. Kathryn also has a great passion for writing and has contributed significantly to various publications including Essence Magazine, NZ Business Magazine and HerBusiness Magazine. She is a Careers Expert for the Press in the South Island and the Sunday News in the North Island. She published her first book in 2009, ‘How to Keep Your Cool if You Lose Your Job – a workbook for surviving redundancy’ has received rave reviews, and has featured across a variety of NZ media including the Good Morning show, popular magazines and over 20 radio stations. Kathryn also featured on a BBC Radio Scotland show providing advice to people who have lost their jobs. Her next book is already in the pipeline… |
