Whether you’re leaving work to have a baby
or you’re returning to work after raising a family, we understand
that this can be a challenging time.
Mums have told us they feel pulled in many directions;
wanting to keep progressing their career – yet feeling guilt at
leaving their baby at home…or spending quality time with their
baby – yet feeling guilt about leaving colleagues to manage the
workload.
Returning mums have shared that they find themselves
apologising for not having ‘enough’ recent work experience
for employers…saying they have spent the last (however many) years
being ‘just a mum’.
While we’d love to wave our magic wands the reality
is that there’s no easy answer to your feelings…but we can
certainly help you to work out what you want to do about it.

Our Online
Career Centre can help you to review your skills and may even give
you some ideas about alternative directions for your career. Previous mums have
made decisions about what sort of industry to return to, have created development
plans and identified new opportunities to progress their career. You don’t
even need any coaching sessions as the workbook generates a self-coaching programme
tailored for you.
A career
planning or career change programme can provide you with support
to build your confidence and remind yourself about just how capable and experienced
you are…no matter how long you’ve been out of the workplace to raise
your family.
We've also created 10
tips for mums based on the feedback we’ve had from our
clients.
And finally we’ve included some links to a few supportive websites
where other parents regularly share their thoughts and feelings on this sort
of thing so you know you’re not alone.
